Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement
The present ethic statement is based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors and on existing Elsevier policies.
Chapter 01: Internal organization of the journal
Langues, discours et inter cultures (Languages, discourse and inter cultures) is an open access, double-blind peer-reviewed scientific journal édited by the Interdisciplinary Research Laboratory: Discourse Analysis, Language Teaching and Interculturality of Algiers 2 University / Algeria. It publishes originals articles and anonymously evaluated by well-known experts. in their fields of specialization. As soon as they are published, the articles are freely and permanently consulted online.
* The journal Langues, discours et inter cultures has an editor-in-chief, an international editorial committee, a reading committee and a secretariat. Each of these parties performs its task under the responsibility of the editor-in-chief and in accordance with the ethic’s and déontologic’s rules contained in this charter. Before submitting their articles, authors are also invited to consult this charter in order to respect it.
* The editor-in-chief oversees the proper functioning and coordination of the action of the various bodies of the journal. In his capacity as the first person in charge of publication, he is supposed to represent the journal within the various institutions and at the various scientific events.
* The Editorial Board is made up of senior associate editors from various countries. By virtue of their status and their notoriety, they provide scientific support to the journal. They ensure the good quality of the articles published. Through their networks of reviewers, they are involved in the evaluation of submitted articles and help the editor-in-chief make decisions about publication.
* The reading committee is made up of reviewers from different specialties beds. They review articles assigned to them by the editor-in-chief or associate editor to which they are attached. They are required to perform their task in accordance with this ethic and déontologic charter.
* The journal secretariat is responsible for formatting, correcting and pre-publishing the articles assigned to it by the editor-in-chief. In carrying out his mission, he must strictly respect the terms of this charter.
Chapter 02 Othor’s obligations
* The author must submit an original text of his own composition. It must indicate as a citation (according to the standards of the journal) any borrowing from another work or document.
* The author must make sure that his text does not contain racist remarks and does not put the honor on any legal or natural person.
* The author should not submit his article to another journal once he has chosen to publish in Langues, discours et inter cultures.
* They should only be mentioned as authors of those who actually participated in the writing of the article.

* In the event that he discovers an error in his article, the author must immediately inform the editor-in-chief in order to correcting it.
Chapter 03: Confidentiality and objectivity of the evaluation
* Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of information contained in articles assigned to them. They must not divulge any details of what is contained in the texts they have evaluated, and under no conditions.
* The evaluation must be objective and based on the requirements of scientific research, such as logical reasoning, distance from the object of study, the use of a language level worthy of scientific research, the use of a theory or theoretical approach known in the field, the use of precise and appropriate concepts, etc.
* The reviewer should accurately show any shortcomings they find at the item level. He presents them in the form of comments where he gives corrections or alternatives, in order to help the author to improve his text. The reviewer's final opinion on the article must be sufficiently reasoned and justified.
Chapter 04 : Plagiarism
* We do not tolerate plagiarism in any form. We reserve the right to check all submitted articles using verification tools, including anti-plagiarism software. In terms of sanctions against plagiarists, we refer to Ministerial Decree No. 1082 of December 27, 2020 setting the rules relating to the fight against plagiarism.
Chapter 05 : Conflict of interest
Authors must declare any conflict of interest likely to exert undue influence on the results and interpretation of their research. The editorial committee will decide on the measures to be taken in order to restore the rights of authors.
Chapter 06 : Breach of ethics
In the event of a breach of ethics, the Editorial Committee will take all necessary measures against the author(s) of the act. Violations of copyright or plagiarism are considered breaches.
